Hi! I'm Raychel.
My friends say I am funny, wise, and tell it like it is. They know I am a Creative with a love of the beauty industry and the heart of a Teacher - whether that's writing books, playing piano, creating new essential oil blends, or finding simple ways to teach complex topics. My clients know I help them build confidence, conquer self-doubt, navigate tough issues, (and the BS no one talks about) and accomplish their personal and professional goals.Â
Since 2017, I have been focused on healing from decades of trauma and health challenges, and helping my kids do the same. All while building a successful business that worked with my complex needs instead of against. In 2022, I was formally diagnosed with cPTSD, Central Sensitization Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Because of this, I firmly believe that brokenness, health challenges, or past mistakes do not disqualify you from leadership, They prepare you.Â
I live in North Dakota with my husband, Josh, and 3 teenagers in middle school, high school, and college - and 3 dogs since life wasn't busy enough. I’m an introvert, coffee lover (just black, please!) gemstone jewelry collector, obsessed with Britain's royal families, social justice advocate, and love getting lost in a good novel.Â

Professional Experience:
Before launching Big Blue Couch Coaching in 2014 and rebranding to RAYMA Team in 2019, with my BFF & business partner Mandy B. Anderson, I spent eight years as a Licensed Esthetician and trainer in the Spa industry. I launched my first handcrafted skincare brand after graduating from the Aveda Institute in 2002, which I eventually retired a few years ago. In 2018, I had the opportunity to design spa services, hire, and train new estheticians when a collogue launched a new salon and spa in Western North Dakota.Â
Outside of the spa industry, I've held many retail and ministries roles over the years including Lead Artist at the Elizabeth Arden counter in a department store, Worship Pastor, and Youth Leader. I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Religion in 2012 and went on to design, launch, and lead a lay counseling ministry.Â
Since co-founding our company, I’ve published an Amazon Best-Selling book, co-authored five leadership books for our RAYMA Foundations™ signature leadership trainings, co-wrote and published best-selling guided journals, and been featured on the North Dakota Today Show as a weekly guest expert.Â
