3 Ways You Influence People Without Realizing It

You influence people every day, and the problem with that is you probably don't even realize it.

Becoming an Influencer doesn't mean you have to have a massive audience. It means you understand what you bring to the table, and you're intentional in sharing it. But when you don't know that you already influence people every day, you squander the opportunity to make an impact. Over the next few moments, I want to share with you three ways that you already impact people without realizing it every day.

1. You influence people by how you treat them.

Did you smile at someone today or say thank you to a stranger that held the door open? If so, you influenced them to have a better day. On the other hand, if you were rude and cranky, you possibly influenced them to have a negative day too.

Your attitude and how you treat people you know, as well as people you don't know, is one of the most simple ways you influence people. Keep that in mind when you're in real life and online. How you treat people, matters. It builds your influence or tears it down.

2. You influence people by building a relationship with them.

This happens by showing up every day and speaking life, encouragement, and truth into the people you are around in person and online. If you only reach out to people when you need something, you're not building a relationship with them. You're constantly taking from them and eventually that becomes draining to everyone involved.

Relationships take time. It means caring about the other person and asking about them, while also being vulnerable enough to share your struggles and your triumphs with them. And then allow them to do the same.

Building relationships is a big way we influence people without realizing it. Our relationships matter.

3. You influence people by knowing who you are and standing firm in your values.

This one is the biggie. If you say one thing and do another, that doesn't make you flexible - it makes you a hypocrite. Everyone deserves a chance to grow in their thinking, but you can do that and stand firm in your values at the same time.

You owe it to yourself, your business, and your audience to get clear on what you value as a person. Take some time to go through this guide to help you get clear on your top five life values and how you can use them to influence people in the ways that matter to you. It's completely free, and it will help you get the clarity you need if you feel that you really have no idea what qualities you value in life.

Being an Influencer carries with it a big responsibility. It's time to start treating it with the care it deserves. When you do, your business will blossom.

Much love,
