Dear Female Leader or Professional: Meet Ashley Wooledge, owner of KnowMe Promo! What does bossing up as a female business owner and leader mean to her? Here's what she says...
"For me, it means stepping into who you’re meant to be—even when it’s uncomfortable, even when someone once told you that you couldn’t.
I was once told by an employer, “You’re not a leader.” That comment stuck with me, but not in the way they intended. It first stung hard, but then it became fuel. I don’t want the title of leader. I want to be one—by showing up, doing the work, and leading by example.
Because of events like this one—and because I chose to surround myself with strong, driven women—I found the courage to go out on my own in business last fall.
This is what it means to boss up: Believing in yourself before anyone else does, and choosing to rise anyway. If you feel any twinge in your heart to become the best person you can be, take the time to invest in events like this.
I hope to see you Thursday!"
We hope to see YOU there as well!
