What Most Women Get Wrong About Leadership
Aug 12, 2026Most women that get promoted or start a business don’t know how to think like a leader. They think like someone who gets the job done. And that’s not a good thing.
Oh, it might seem like a good thing. But here’s why it’s not…
Female leaders who take initiative and always step up to get things done, tend to lack the patience needed to train people effectively. Their motto is usually: “It’s faster if I just do it.”
That’s not the mindset of a leader. It’s the mindset of a do-er. That mindset got you where you are - a fast worker that people can depend on to always take initiative. But that mindset won’t help you once you step into a leadership role. It will only burn you out and frustrate you.
Thinking like a leader means you wake up asking yourself, “What does my team need today?”
It means you notice where the training you gave is lacking, and you work to fix it - without excuses.
It means you realize how important your attitude is - because you lead by example even when you don’t mean to.
And it demands that you learn leadership skills that support the life you want to live AND apply them.
This is what I teach you how to do in the Growth Collective - a group coaching membership for women who want leadership training and support on a continual basis.
The mindset of a leader doesn’t stop at work. You must keep cultivating it!
If you want to see what the group coaching experience is like inside the Growth Collective Membership, then I invite you to join me August 17th-21st for a virtual workshop called, She Cultivates Success. For only $27, you can spend a week with my business partner and I to learn the first steps of how to THINK like a leader.
You can sign up for this workshop here: https://www.raymateam.com/shecultivatessuccess-august2026workshop.
Hope to see you there!
